Welcome to Woodstock,NB!
Woodstock, New Brunswick's first and oldest town, was established on the western bank of the St. John River more than 150 years ago. This long-spun history can still be seen in the prize Victorian homes, historic churches and 19th century civic buildings that still dominate many of the town's streets. Since its founding days, Woodstock has seen everything from carriage factories, sawmills and harness shops to car garages, accountants and department stores. Through it all though, the town has managed to balance its heritage and down-home feel with the energy of an enterprising local economy—the benefit of Woodstock's favourable location where Interstate 95 intersects the Trans-Canada Highway, and the Meduxnekeag River joins the St. John River. Visit this quaint little town and experience its historic downtown centre, take a heritage homes walking tour, then stroll the paths and boardwalks of The Greenway trail system as it winds along the rivers that flow through town. Benches and picnic tables are scattered along the trail, offering hikers a peaceful place to rest and reflect on the beauty of nature.Tourist Attractions
