Welcome to St. Martins!
Located on the spectacular Bay of Fundy coast, between Hopewell Cape and St. Andrews, St. Martins is a picturesque seaside village that inspires artists, residents and visitors drawn to its unspoiled beauty. The village was established in 1783 as a ship-building site, then known as Quaco. However, its arresting natural scenery has made it the sightseer's paradise that it is today. Many come for the famous Fundy Trail; a hiking and biking trail and scenic drive along a stunning, undeveloped stretch of the Bay of Fundy coastline. Outdoor lovers are attracted to St. Martins' naturally gorgeous beaches to witness the world's highest tides, explore the Mac's Beach sea caves, and to enjoy sea kayaking and fishing. Visitors may also delight in the two covered bridges that lead from the harbour, graceful Victorian homes, galleries and the Quaco Museum. Situated a mere 40 km (25 mi) east of St. John, St. Martins makes for an attractive day trip, and there are numerous bed and breakfasts, cottages, country inns and campgrounds for those planning to stay awhile.Hotels & Motels
