Olivier Soapery

This site is a soap museum, where the soaps of Olivier are made. It showcases the traditional craft of soap-making in the early 19th century, and also offers guided tours on the history, the art, and the evolution of skin care through the ages. The soapery has free live demonstrations three times daily during the summer season, or by appointment during off-season. It is a member of the Atlantic Economuseum network as it offers hands-on learning experiences and interactive learning opportunities to visitors.

The Moosehead Moose Statue

Created by artist Forest Hart, the Moosehead Moose Statue is a life-size bronze statue and is a recent addition to the waterfront in downtown Saint John. Donated by Moosehead Breweries, the Moosehead Moose can be located at Market Square, right beside the Boardwalk.

Castalia Marsh and Dunes

Castalia Marsh is located on Grand Manan Island approximately 5 km (3 mi) from the ferry landing on the northern tip of the island. This salt marsh has a picnic and beach area and is a perfect location to spot the over 391 birds reported in the marsh. The sand dunes in this area are quite distinctive and have been recognized by the province as a protected site.
Changing of the Guard

In the months of July and August, a re-enactment of the Changing of the Guard ceremony takes place in the Historic Garrison District at Officer's Square. The Guard dates back to 1793 when the Royal New Brunswick Regiment was formed. Ceremony times are 11am and 7pm, Tuesday to Saturday.

The Mystery of the Statue Acadieville

In the 1960's, the Catholic Church called for a renewal and renovation of their church to eradicate all statutes in order to eliminate worship of idols. As a result, all statues and monuments at the Church of Immaculate Conception in Acadieville were given away or destroyed. Today, all but one statue can be accounted for. The mystery of the lost Immaculate Conception statue remains strong in Acadieville.
The Carrefour de la Mer

The Carrefour de la Mer translates to "Crossroads of the Sea" and is the scenic harbour area of Caraquet. A 15,000 square foot recreational facility is located on the site, complete with indoor and outdoor stages, and complete facilities to host any event. The site seasonally holds a Visitor Tourist Centre, seafood restaurant, gift shop, mini-golf course and playground. Many water-related activities originate from Carrefour de la Mer including canoeing, kayaking and fishing trips.

Located in the Bay of Fundy, this trio of islands is part of New Brunswick and is comprised of the Grand Manan archipelago, Deer Island and Campobello Island. The islands are home to interesting ecology, historic lighthouses and quaint fishing villages. The islands' only land connection is via the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial Bridge in Lubec, Maine and via ferries from Maine and New Brunswick.

Todd House

Completed in 1895, Todd House is a mansion that is an example of the Second Empire style which was a popular example of architecture of the time. It was once the house of William F. Todd, who was Lieutenant Governor of New Brunswick from 1923-1928. Tours are not available.
