    Fortin du P'tit Sault Blockhouse
    Fortin du P'tit Sault Blockhouse was originally built as a defence structure in 1841 when hostilities between the United States and England were mounting. It was struck by lightning in 1855 but reconstructed in 2000. It is open to the public from June to September.

    Queens County Historical Society and Museum Inc.

    Queens County Historical Society and Museum contains both the Tilley House, once the birthplace of Sir Leonard Tilley, and the Courthouse. Exhibits include Loyalist and Victorian furniture, the 1818 Tilley birth room, collections of Queens County art, Aboriginal artifacts, agricultural implements, military memorabilia, and glassware and ceramics. The Courthouse includes history, genealogy and special exhibits each season. Both are Provincial and National Historic Sites.

    Doak Provincial Historic Site

    This 19th-century historic house once belonged to Squire Robert Doak, an early entrepreneur of the area. Life in the 1900s is recreated by costumed guides who maintain the house, stables and grounds. The house is complete with original architecture and furniture of the period.     Minister's Island St. Andrews
    Located on the outskirts of St. Andrews, Minister's Island is a short drive at low tide across the ocean floor. Visit Covenhoven, the former summer home of Sir William Van Home, its surrounding bathhouse, windmill and livestock barn, all timelessly preserved.     Loyalist House

    Built in 1817, the Loyalist House is the oldest building in Saint John. Recognized as a National Historic Site, the Loyalist House is a museum which preserves early Loyalist life. Most of the house stands as it was in the early nineteenth century, complete with iron pressure cooker in the kitchen, piano-organ and original fireplaces. Tours are available June to November.

    Soldiers' Barracks & Artisan Studios
    This site was constructed in 1827 to house over 200 British soldiers at a time. Despite its austerity, the posting was a popular one with the soldiers. One of the barrack rooms has been restored to provide a flavour of the period.

    Boishebert National Historic Site of Canada and Wilson's Point
    The Boishebert National Historic Site of Canada and Wilson's Point make up the site where, under the leadership of Charles Deschamps de Boishébert, many Acadians found refuge when they first came to this land. It was first settled by the Mi'kmaq people and it shows the evolution of Acadian, Indian and Scottish peoples since that time. Guided tours are available to the island which includes an interpretation centre and cemetery.

    Beaubear's Island National Historic Site

    A National Historic Site, the island is likely the only preserved shipbuilding site left in Canada. The island is located in the centre of the city, but is only accessible by boat. The island was once the focal point of the area’s bustling shipbuilding industry.

    Militia Arms Store
    The Militia Arms Store is located next to the Guard House on Carleton Street in the Garrison District. It is a wooden structure originally built in 1832 to keep military weapons and ammunition for the Royal New Brunswick Regiment. Today, it is the official office of Fredericton Tourism.

    Officer's Square
    From this site the beating of many different drums has been heard over the centuries - from the military marches of the British Army in 1785 and the Canadian Army in 1883 to the present day rhythm of musicans performing at the Summer Music Series. Come see the changing of the guard and inspection ceremonies during July and August. Also in Officer's Square is the statue dedicated to Lord Beaverbrook, a publishing giant and lawyer who assisted the first Canadian born British Prime Minister.

    Sheriff Andrews House Provincial Historic Site

    Sheriff Andrews House was once the home of Elisha Shelton Andrews, sheriff of Charlotte County and son of Loyalist Reverend Samuel Andrews. It was built in 1820 and costumed guides exhibit what domestic life was like in a seaport town in the early 19th century.

    Carleton Martello Tower
    Carleton Martello Tower is located in western Saint John and was constructed as a watch tower in the War of 1812. However, the war was over by the time the tower was completed in 1815. It was used as a command post in WWII and is designated today as a Canadian National Historic Site.
