Sackville Museums
• A WorldWeb.com Travel Guide to Museums in Sackville, Atlantic Canada.
The Campbell Carriage Factory Museum is dedicated to life before the motor vehicle. It was originally built as a tannery in 1838 and converted to a carriage factory in 1855. Today, the building has been restored and is home to an array of exhibits and displays of old sleighs, agricultural equipment, carriages, tools and more.
This museum is situated in the family home of one of Sackville's founding families, the Fultz's. The first Fultz came to Nova Scotia as early as 1750. The grounds have a blacksmith shop, wagons, a stagecoach and landscaped gardens. Inside the museum, visitors will find a plethora of artifacts from the 19th century, including clothing, documents, tools, household items and more. Enjoy frequent special events throughout the summer.
