Designated as a National Historic Site in 1990, the original Canadian Pacific Railway Station in McAdam was constructed in 1900 and further expanded in 1910. Its architectural style is a combination of Gothic, Baroque and Victorian styles and a majority of it was built from local granite deposits. Plans for the McAdam Restoration Commission to restore and reopen McAdam Station as a functioning facility are underway.
