Head Harbour Lightstation, or East Quoddy Lighthouse, is located on Head Harbour Island. It is known as the oldest lighthouse in New Brunswick and one of the most photographed. It is only accessible by foot on a sand-bar at low tide and is also a favourite spot for whale and bird watching.
Located in the Bay of Fundy, this trio of islands is part of New Brunswick and is comprised of the Grand Manan archipelago, Deer Island and Campobello Island. The islands are home to interesting ecology, historic lighthouses and quaint fishing villages. The islands' only land connection is via the Franklin D. Roosevelt Memorial Bridge in Lubec, Maine and via ferries from Maine and New Brunswick.
